Police were called to 80th St. and Troost Ave. around 7:15 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The victim was a black male in his mid 20s and was found with a bullet wound in his chest. Police say he was shot a block away before he ran to a convenience store for help.

No suspect has been taken into custody. The victim has been transported to the hospital.
