Police looking for suspected shooter after standoff

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri Police surrounded a home near 28th and Olive around 11:00 p.m. Saturday. Around 3:00 a.m. Sunday police said they went inside and found the home empty.

It all started just before 9:00 p.m. Officers found a woman shot near 55th and Michigan. She was taken to a hospital and is expected to recover.

Around 11:00 p.m. officers saw a vehicle matching the suspected shooters. They attempted to pull the driver over near 28th and Olive. Police say a man got out and ran into a home. They said that man matched the description of the suspected shooter.

He was believed to be the only person inside the home but was not found when police got inside.
