Police search for suspect after bank robbery in Dearborn

Police are investigating after a bank robbery Monday morning.

At 8:50 a.m., the Dearborn branch of Platte Valley Bank, on Main Street, was robbed.

According to the FBI, the suspect entered the bank carrying a black portfolio. The suspect provided the teller with a demand note. According to the FBI, the suspect fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. He did not display a weapon, and there were no injuries.

According to the FBI, the robbery suspect is described as a white man, approximately 5’10” and 160 pounds, 40-50 years of age with tattoos on his arms. He was wearing a black T-shirt and black jeans.

The Platte County Sheriff’s Office said there is no vehicle or direction of travel information available at this time.

Anyone with information regarding this robbery or the suspect is asked to call the Platte County Sheriff’s Office at 816-858-3521.

Officials ask you do not confront suspicious persons but notify law enforcement and provide them with information.
