Prosecutors charge man with killing three people and setting crime scene on fire

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — A man is charged with killing two men and a woman in a KCK house and then setting the house on fire.

Wyandotte County prosecutors charged Carlisle Hervey, 40, with three counts of first degree murder and one count of aggravated arson, according to a criminal complaint filed in the case.

Hervey is in the Wyandotte County Jail.

The three murders happened Dec. 12, 2017, in a house at 837 Troup Avenue.

Firefighters were sent to the house about 3:30 in the morning and found the house engulfed in flames.

The crews found the bodies after putting out the fire.

The victims were identifed as Gwinn Green, 53, Ronald Guess, 61 and Kevin McBride, 53.

There is no word on the motive for the murders.
