Prosecutors have charged a 24-year-old Deandre M. Jackson, of Raytown Mo. in a shooting that killed one woman and injured three others.

Jackson is charged with second degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon, three counts of first degree assault and five counts of armed criminal action.

25-year-old Maryanna Pennington of Kansas City, Mo. has been identified as the victim who died following the shooting.

Prosecutors say the victims were inside a vehicle at 21st and Cleveland Ave. when the shooting took place. The vehicle was stopped because of a problem with its front axle.

Witnesses say Jackson opened up the front passenger door and shot into the vehicle. Nearly three dozen shell casings were found around the vehicle, according to a release from prosecutors.

A witness reportedly told officials that Jackson had been fighting with one of the victims that day.

Prosecutors have requested a $500,000 cash bond.
