Shawnee man faces theft, possession charges

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Shawnee man has been charged in connection to an investigation of illegal narcotics and stolen property that spans multiple cities.

Kyle Jeffrey Davey faces two counts of felony theft and two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance after Lenexa police issued a search warrant Saturday.

Officers recovered stolen trailers, lawn equipment and firearms, among other items, at a home in the 20500 block of West 47th Street in Shawnee, Kansas a news release stated.

The investigation includes cities in Johnson, Wyandotte and Jackson counties. Once the stolen items are processed, the information will be sent to local jurisdictions for review, according to the release.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol, Shawnee Police Department and Johnson County Sheriff’s Office are among the agencies involved in the investigation.
