Suspect in custody after 4-hour standoff early Monday in Kansas City, Kansas

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An armed domestic disturbance ended peacefully after a four-hour standoff early Monday morning.

Kansas City, Kansas, police were dispatched to the 400 block of Quindaro Boulevard on a domestic-related armed disturbance shortly after midnight.

Upon arrival, the armed suspect refused to come out of the home.

The KCKPD Special Operations Unit was called to assist, and the suspect exited the home just before 4 a.m. The suspect was then placed into custody.

No injuries were reported.
