KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A suspected carjacker is in custody after leading police on a chase through the north and east sides of Kansas City.
The suspect, who was driving a red Nissan Xterra, was taken into custody at 55th and Prospect.
The suspect reached speeds of 80 miles per hour, hit multiple other vehicles while trying to avoid police and, at times, was driving into oncoming traffic.
Police deployed stop sticks twice in an attempt to stop the vehicle.
