KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A man and a woman are facing several federal charges after they were arrested in a string of motel and business robberies in late 2017 and early 2018.
One of the crimes the pair are connected to - the Jan. 21, 2018 robbery of the Comfort Inn Motel in Grain Valley – drew media attention as police tried to generate leads.
Aaron Fisher, 46, and Dawn Baldwin, 49, are alleged to have robbed an Independence Holiday Inn Express on Dec. 31, 2017, and the Grain Valley Comfort Inn in early 2018.
Fisher has also been charged with several business and hotel robberies, most recently on April 2, 2018, at the Trex Mart in Lathrop, Missouri.
The federal indictments replace a criminal complaint on April 6.
Both Fisher and Baldwin remain in federal custody without bond.
