Teen shot in arm in Raytown, police say

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One male teen was shot in the arm on Thursday afternoon in Raytown, according to police.

Around 4:40 p.m., police responded to a call and found the teen injured outside of a house in the 5200 block of Sterling Avenue.

Officers found evidence that the shooting had occurred at East 53rd Street and Crisp Avenue, police said.

Police applied a tourniquet to the teen's arm, and he was transported to an area hospital.
