Teen shot, killed in 3900 block of Wabash

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A young black male was shot and killed Sunday night in the 3900 block of Wabash Ave.

According to the Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department, officers responded to a shots-fired call in that area shortly after 7:45 p.m. and found the victim on the sidewalk.

Police identified the victim as 17-year-old Arkestes Grant.

He is he fourth homicide victim in 2019 in KCMO.

Witnesses said the suspect fled south from the intersection on foot. He is described as a black male in his late teens with shorts spiked braids.

The suspect was wearing a blue hoodie, blue jeans and white shoes.
