KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on Friday.

Officers were called to the 5700 block of Cambridge Avenue around 2 p.m.
When they arrived on the scene, officers saw a woman in her 30s in life-threatening condition.
The woman was transported to the hospital where she later died, officials said.
A suspect was taken into custody at the scene.
This is KCMO's 99th homicide of the year.
