KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A woman suffered serious injuries Tuesday afternoon in Raymore after being shot multiple times by an ex-boyfriend.

The shooting happened around 1:45 p.m. in a residential area near Missouri 58 Highway and Crest Drive, according to Raymore Police Chief Jan Zimmerman.

The suspect shot the woman as she stood outside a car, police said.

Officers arrested the man moments later without incident, Zimmerman said.

No charges have been filed.
