KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An election worker in St. Charles County, Missouri has died just two days after working a polling place.

In a news release Thursday, the St. Charles County Department of Public Health and the St. Charles County Election Authority said an election judge supervisor had tested positive for COVID-19 on Oct. 30.

With the positive test, the worker was supposed to quarantine for 14 days, but instead worked on Election Day at the county’s precinct at Blanchette Park Memorial Hall.

The release says no official cause of death has been determined.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
