Kansas City Fire Department battled a blaze on Tuesday morning at a home.
According to the fire department, the first crews arrived at 4940 Flora Avenue and discovered severe smoke conditions in the home.
When crews entered the building, they found a heavy fire in the basement.
The fire crews quickly left the building and battled the fire defensively from outside.
No injuries were reported in the incident and the building was vacant when crews arrived, firefighters said.
