1 dead following 2-vehicle crash in KCK

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person is dead following a two-vehicle crash Monday night in Kansas City, Kansas.

The crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 670 near Genessee Street.

Kansas Highway Patrol says 69-year-old James Williams died when his car hit a truck in front of him.

The truck had slowed down for upcoming traffic, but Williams' car did not and he hit the back of the truck.

The truck was driven by Hussein Ali of Kansas City. He suffered minor injuries.
