UPDATE, May 12 | The shooting victim was identified as 38-year-old Carlos M. Starr of Kansas City, Missouri.
ORIGINAL STORY, May 9 | One person is dead and another in critical condition following a double shooting Saturday night in Kansas City, Missouri.
Police responded around 11 p.m. to the area of East 53rd Terrace and Cleveland Avenue on a reported shooting, according to KCPD.
Officers located one person deceased at the scene, according to dispatch. A second shooting victim also was located in critical condition.
No one is in custody, but a KCPD spokesperson said that detectives are investigating what led up to the shooting and interviewing witnesses.
