1 dead in KCMO shooting

Update, March 9 | Police identified the shooting victim as 37-year-old Manuel Rodriguez-Garcia.

KCPD needs assistance from anyone who saw or heard anything around the time of the incident in order to solve the case.

Original story | One man is dead following a shooting Saturday night in Kansas City, Missouri.

A call for a shooting came in around 9:39 p.m. at Chelsea Avenue and East 24th Street. Police said that officers located the victim, an "unknown adult male," who was pronounced dead by EMS.

Witnesses, according to KCPD, said the victim was walking down the street "acting erratically."

Police said that the man "approached a vehicle and appeared to talk to them briefly and was shot." Officers are looking for potential video evidence.
