KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person was killed in a crash late Monday night in Kansas City, Missouri.
KCPD said officers were sent to the scene in the 3500 block of Elmwood Avenue just before midnight.
When they got there, they found a dark-colored SUV near a tree.
KCPD said the driver was wedged inside the car, and EMS and fire department personnel pronounced them dead upon their arrival.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
