KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person is injured after a shooting Saturday at the intersection of 23rd Street and Lee’s Summit Road near the Hy-Vee gas station in Independence.
The incident occurred just before 3 p.m.
Independence Police Department spokesperson Jack Taylor said he believes the cause was road rage.
The injured party was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Taylor said no suspect is in custody.
