KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person died in a crash Friday morning in Independence, police said.
The crash occurred around 10:30 a.m. near East Truman Road and South Alexander Road. A Lexus driving westbound struck a guardrail and bridge-end, according to police.
The driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
The victim's name has not been released. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
