KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Leavenworth man died Thursday night in a crossover crash in Platte County.
The crash happened about 5:15 p.m. on Missouri 92 near Hackberry Road, according to the Platte County Sheriff's Department.
The 55-year-old pickup truck driver crossed over from the west to the eastbound lanes of Missouri 92 and crashed into a 1996 Peterbuilt tractor-trailer.
The pickup truck driver died at the scene. His name was not released Thursday night.
The tractor-trailer driver was not hurt, according to Platte County authorities.
