KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person suffered serious injuries after a hit-and-run crash Saturday night in Kansas City, Missouri.
Police responded around 7:38 p.m. to 91st Street and James A. Reed Road for a vehicle striking a pedestrian and leaving the scene, according to a news release.
A black vehicle, heading south on James A. Reed Street, hit the pedestrian who was walking south "along the west edge of the pavement" and then thrown into the air, the release stated.
There are no sidewalks in the area.
The pedestrian was taken to an area hospital.
