KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City police said a victim is recovering after being shot near 35th and Askew.
Officers were called the the scene just after midnight.
Witnesses told police a young man came to their door, claiming to have been shot and demanding to be let inside.
They did not let him in, and when police got there, they found him passed out on the side of the house.
Police said the victim, who they described as an “older male juvenile,” was treated at the scene and then taken to a hospital.
Investigators are looking into reports of a silver car that was seen leaving the scene, but said the victim is being “less than cooperative.”
