KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An Overland Park teen is dead after a crash in 10 miles east of Colby, Kansas.
16-year-old Jackson Buerge was in a vehicle heading westbound on I-70 when it was rear-ended at about 10 a.m. Thursday. It eventually came to a rest on the right shoulder facing east with the driver's side pinned against the guardrail.
Jackson was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
Two adults and a nine-year-old boy were also in the car and taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
I-70 was closed for several hours Thursday due to dangerous conditions caused by snow.
