KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are trying to piece together the details of a crash that seriously injured an Overland Park, Kansas teen Monday.
Emergency crews were called out just after 2 p.m. to W. 131st Street and Switzer Road on a single-car crash.
Video from SKYTRACKER showed an SUV somehow lost control and slammed into a tree on the side of the road.
A police spokeswoman said the driver, a 16-year-old boy, was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
Police say Switzer Road from 129th to 132nd Streets will be closed through part of the evening rush hour.
