KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Two Franklin County Sheriff's deputies were shot Saturday night. The suspect was also shot.
The Franklin County Sheriff's Office said a deputy tried to pull over a Blue 2007 Honda CR-V near Interstate 44 and Highway 50, just northeast of St. Clair, Missouri, around 9:42 p.m. Saturday.
The Franklin County Sheriff's Office also said the driver continued driving to a business parking lot, where the suspect got out and started shooting into the deputies' cars.
One deputy was shot in the shoulder. The second deputy was shot in the arm and shoulder. Both deputies fired back at the suspect. Both deputies are expected to recover. The condition of the suspect is not known.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating.
