2 in custody after Independence bank robbery, FBI says

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Two people accused of robbing a bank in Independence on Wednesday were taken into custody in Overland Park, according to the FBI in Kansas City.

Bridget Patton, an FBI spokeswoman, said the two people left the First Federal Bank, 3500 South Noland Road in Independence, with an “undisclosed amount” of money.

The pair were taken into custody in Overland Park.
