KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Two people were killed in a crash in Grain Valley, Missouri, early Friday morning, Jackson County Sheriff Daryl Forte' said.
The sheriff tweeted that deputies were called to the 3400 block of Old U.S. 40 Highway around 4 a.m., about half a mile east of AA Highway near the Blue Springs border.
When they got there, deputies found a male and a female passenger had died.
The driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Forte' said excessive speed appeared to be a contributing factor in the crash.
