KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 20 inch water main broke shortly after 7:00 Saturday morning and flooded a section of east 75th street.
Water crews were called to the area and discovered debris and a large flow of water near 75th Street between Troost and Holmes.
Water officials say the 20 inch main gushed water for several hours before crews were able to shut it down.
Remarkably only one customer reported an outage.
Clogged storm drains caused a large section of roadway to be underwater for a time.
The cause of the break is still under investigation.
