KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Four people were injured in a crash Friday night after a police pursuit.

Kansas City, Missouri, police said that a “serious injury collision” occurred around 11:30 p.m. Friday at East 62nd Street and Indiana Avenue.

Before the crash, an officer tried to stop a silver Chevrolet Malibu “west of the intersection in connection with a burglary investigation,” according to police.

The driver did not stop, prompting an eastbound pursuit in which the driver continued through a stop sign and collided with a Dodge Durango, according to police.

At least one person fled the Chevrolet on foot and has not been located, and police said two others who were in the Chevrolet were taken to an area hospital.

A female passenger in the Dodge Durango was taken to a hospital with serious injuries but now is in stable condition. The driver of the Dodge refused medical treatment for minor injuries.
