KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Four people were killed in a crash near St. Joseph, Missouri, Thursday afternoon.
The crash happened around 4 p.m. on southbound U.S. 169, just nine miles north of the city.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder traveled off the roadway, struck a driveway culvert, went airborne and rolled several times.
The driver and three passengers were ejected from the vehicle.
Three of the people ejected were pronounced dead at the scene and another was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The deceased were identified as 45-year-old Kimberly Walker of Union Star, 46-year-old Sharry Dawn of St. Joseph, 61-year-old Twila Obanion of St. Joseph and 81-year-old Darlene Obanion of St. Joseph.
According to the crash report, the lone survivor of the crash was a two-year-old. They were also the only one wearing a seatbelt.
