GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. -- A 4-year-old boy was injured when he and his sibling were either handling or playing with a loaded gun Thursday night.
Around 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Grain Valley police went to a residence in the 900 block of Dogwood on a reported shooting.
A 4-year-old boy was found with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Grain Valley police said the initial investigation indicates the victim and a 6-year-old sibling were handling or playing with a loaded gun when the incident occurred.
The investigation is ongoing, according to police.
