KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An Overland Park, Kansas man is behind bars on a $1 million bond facing several charges, including attempted capital murder.
Johnson County, Kansas prosecutors Tuesday charged Matthew Lee Bibee, 18, with attempted capital murder, attempted first degree murder, attempted aggravated robbery, battery on a law enforcement officer and battery in connection to a crime spree on March 31.
Bibee was involved in a shootout with Olathe Police. No officers were injured, through Bibee was struck by an officer’s bullet.
Bibee will make his first appearance before a judge at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
