KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An 18-year-old Adrian man died from injuries sustained a single-vehicle crash Sunday in Bates County, Missouri.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Online Traffic Crash Report, the vehicle Carson Elmer was driving left the roadway around 7:45 p.m. on County Road Northwest 1002, just east of Missouri V.
Elmer’s vehicle traveled through a fence, struck a tree and “overturned onto its top in a water-filled creek,” according to the crash report.
The Bates County coroner pronounced Elmer — who was wearing a safety device, according to the crash report — dead shortly before 10 a.m. on Monday morning.
