UPDATE, 4:30 p.m. Thursday | The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the Amber Alert was canceled after Alison Summorford and her infant were found safe.

ORIGINAL | The Missouri State Highway Patrol has issued an Amber Alert out of central Missouri after a baby boy and his mother were abducted.

The Maries County Sheriff’s Office issued the alert after the 10- or 11-month-old infant, Dominque Summerford, and his mother, Alison Summerford, were abducted at gunpoint Thursday afternoon in a community northwest of Rolla, Missouri.

Troopers were looking for a possible suspect described as a white or Hispanic male with black hair and a black beard. He is possibly wearing a T-shirt with a dragon on it.

The suspect and the two victims may be in a dark-colored GMC or Chevrolet pickup truck last seen heading toward Vienna, Missouri. Troopers say there may be four tires in the back of the pickup.

It’s possible they could be heading to Arkansas.

Alison Summorford, 22, who is five months pregnant, is described as a white female.

No other physical descriptions for the victims were initially provided.

Anyone with information should call 911.
