KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Funds from the sale of Arrowhead Stadium seats will help make playgrounds in Jackson County, Missouri, more accessible.

The Jackson County legislature adopted an ordinance Monday allocating that money toward the project that will add concrete sidewalks with “borders and ramps as needed,” according to a city county news release.

More than $152,000 was appropriated from the stadium seating proceeds.

Jackson County Legislator Tony Miller, 3rd District At-Large said that “everyone wins” with how the project and the sale of the seats worked out.

“This just shows what can be accomplished for the taxpayers when everyone works together,” Miller said.

Lower-bowl stadium seats, which are being removed due to a renovation project, went on sale Monday.
