UPDATE, 9/17, 1:20 p.m.: MCC police advise the MCC-Penn Valley campus is now secure and to resume normal activities.
MCC police and Kansas City police investigated a bomb threat for the Metropolitan Community College - Penn Valley campus Thursday afternoon.
A text message alert was distributed to students and staff from the school alerting them to the threat.
The MCC Alert webpage posted notifications on the incident.
