KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Police in Belton say they are still trying to locate a suspect wanted in a robbery Friday morning at a CVS Pharmacy.

Just before 5 a.m. Friday, police were dispatched to the CVS Pharmacy at 409 E. North Avenue on a robbery.

Police arrived in time to spot two suspects fleeing the store with duffel bags.

Dorian Carruthers, 17, of Indianapolis, Indiana, was apprehended at the scene. He was booked into jail on one count of first-degree robbery, two counts of kidnapping, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and one count of felony fleeing.

The second suspect allegedly fled the scene and has not been located.

A Belton police officer needed medical treatment for minor injuries sustained in a crash while blocking Carruthers' path.

It wasn’t clear if the second suspect was able to get away with any merchandise or property from the store.
