KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Belton police arrested a man late Wednesday night after shooting him with less lethal ammunition.
Officers were called to a home near 173rd and Toulouse Avenue just after 11:00 p.m. Wednesday on a report of a man wielding a hatchet.
When police arrived at the scene, the man was walking in the street, threatening someone over the phone.
An officer fired several rounds of a less lethal ammunition at the man. He was arrested near Missouri 58 and Bel Ray Boulevard and taken to a hospital. The man was not seriously hurt.
Police have not released the man's name and he is not yet charged with a crime.
Police also did not specify what kind of non-lethal ammunition was used.
