KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A bicyclist was struck and killed by a vehicle on 210 Highway early Sunday morning.
Kansas City, Missouri, Police were called to meet Sugar Creek Police officers just after 1 a.m. on July 28 at Missouri 210 and North Pleasant Avenue.
Officers said a male was riding a Trek 21-speed bicycle westbound on the eastbound shoulder.
A silver Pontiac Vibe was traveling eastbound when it hit the male on the bike on the shoulder of the roadway.
The bicyclist — identified Aug. 6 as Anquan Williams, 42, originally of Blytheville, Arkansas — was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and passenger in the Pontiac were not injured, but the driver is under investigation for impairment.
