KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Big Slick raised more than $2 million for Children’s Mercy during its 10-day online fundraising campaign. The total is the third highest in the event’s history.

“Big Slick at Home” was held in place of the in-person event, which was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Fans visited Big Slick’s social media outlets throughout the campaign for "throwback content, as well as special videos from Big Slick hosts and alumni,” according to a news release.

A "generous donor" matched donations of up to $1 million that were made between June 5 and 14, the release stated.

The 2020 event raised $2,072,420, coming in behind the 2019 event ($2.5 million) and 2018 ($2.1 million).

Since it began in 2010, Big Slick has raised more than $12 million for Children’s Mercy.
