KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Blue Springs City Council approved rezoning and concept plans in relation to a development that residents have voiced disapproval of since last year.
The Cambridge Park concept plan to build about 180 homes near the Colonial Highlands neighborhood west of Adams Dairy Parkway and North of Southeast Major Road moved forward with a 4-3 vote. Rezoning in connection to that development also received a 4-3 vote.

Both votes were tabled last month in order to review and verify petitions presented to the council.
A city official told 41 Action News there were not enough petitions that met the “30 percent threshold required by state law for a two-thirds majority approval.”
