KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Blue Springs High School Golden Regiment played in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York Thursday morning.
The band was positioned at the end of the parade, right before the grand finale - Santa Claus.

Windy weather threatened to ground the parade's famous balloons for the first time in decades, but they made it through the parade with no obvious issues.

The Blue Springs students were among hundreds of other high school and college performers taking part in the festive parade.
