Missing man with dementia found safely

BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. — Update, 2:30 a.m. | Friday, police sent new information that Lamb was located safely in Kansas City, Missouri.

Original story | The Blue Springs Police Department is asking the public's help to find a missing 87-year-old man who has dementia.

Police said Donald Lamb was supposed to drive from Blue Springs to Lee's Summit on Thursday night, but never made it to the address of where he was going.

Blue Springs police said multiple calls were made to Lamb's cell phone, and the last known ping was in the area of 299th and South Kircher Road between Harrisonville and Garden City, Missouri.

Lamb was driving a silver 2005 Buick Lacrosse with the license plate DY982.

Police said Lamb was wearing a blue-and-white plaid shirt with blue jeans. He does wear glasses and has a gray beard.
