Missouri silver advisory canceled, man found safe in New Mexico

UPDATE Nov. 14: In a news alert Wednesday night, the Missouri State Highway Patrol announced that the Blue Springs Police Department canceled the alert.

Madden was found safe in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

PREVIOUS: An endangered silver alert was issued Tuesday for a man in Blue Springs, Missouri.

James A. Madden, 78, left Clearwater, Fla., Nov. 9 to travel to Utah or California, according to police, and his last-known location was in Blue Springs. Police said family members are concerned that he might be the victim of an internet scam.

Madden is 6’1” and weighs 150 pounds. He has gray hair and blue eyes and speaks with a British accent. Police said he has been diagnosed with dementia and traumatic brain injury.

His vehicle is a gray 2007 Chrysler Town and Country with Florida license plate CNU4647 and was last seen near the Interstate 70 corridor in Blue Springs.
