KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Lawrence Police announced late Thursday afternoon, that a 6-year-old boy is in stable condition following a shooting Wednesday night in the 700 block of West 25th Street.
Police said they were called to the home in response to what was initially reported as an unknown medical emergency.
When they arrived, they found a juvenile male with a gunshot wound.
They immediately began rendering aid.
The boy was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.
At this point, no foul play is expected.
The incident remains under investigation.
