A man wanted for murder in California was arrested in Kansas City.
Santa Cruz police said Kasey Gaskell is a suspect in his mother’s murder. An arrest warrant was issued for him in connection with the homicide, according to a news release from the Santa Cruz Police Department.
Santa Cruz police said the Kansas City Police Department arrested Gaskell without incident at midnight on Friday.
Gaskell was found at a homeless shelter in Kansas City, Missouri. Someone called Kansas City police saying a person matching Gaskell's description was at the shelter.
Detectives followed Gaskell’s movements after the murder.
