KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Charges have been filed and a suspect arrested in the death of Phillip M. Noel, a man in a wheelchair who was killed May 14 in a hit-and-run accident at 11th and Charlotte Streets in Kansas City, Missouri.

Ramello C. Robinson was arrested last weekend and faces one count of leaving the scene of an accident causing physical injury, a Class E felony.

Robinson’s bond was set at $10,000 and a preliminary hearing has been set for July 10. He faces up four years in prison if convicted in the 50-year-old's death.

Noel suffered severe injuries when his motorized wheelchair was struck in a crosswalk by a white Saturn Aura. He later died at the hospital.
