LIBERTY, Mo. -- A Claycomo EMT will serve 10 years in prison for raping a 15-year-old girl.

Scott Pelc, 26, was sentenced by a Clay County judge last week for the crimes after he waived a jury trial in January.

Pelc was convicted of raping the girl at the Claycomo fire station in June 22.

Court documents outline that Pelc ordered an Uber to bring the girl to the fire station.

Pelc took the girl to a shower where he raped her.

The EMT was then dispatched out on a call, allowing the girl to seek help at a nearby business.

When the girl entered the business, she fell and hurt her arm and had to call 9-1-1.

Pelc was in the ambulance that responded to the call.

“What a terrible case,” Clay County Prosecutor Dan White said in a release.  “The defendant brought the victim to his place of work, had sex with her and once done, left her on her own to find a way home.”
